Mechatronics Technician

Location:Rock Hill, SC

The Mechatronics Technician will be responsible for combining electrical, mechanical, computer and control skills in the workplace. The employee will work with high-performance manufacturing systems and be able to analyze, troubleshoot, write, and repair automated systems of machinery to maintain efficiency. The position will report to the shift supervisors.

Duties and Responsibilities are, but not limited to: Ensure safety regulations and policies are adhered to. Clearly and confidently communicate any issues and important information to management. Install, maintain, and repair production and processing equipment. Maintain and repair electro-mechanical equipment using advanced troubleshooting techniques. Tear down and replace pumps, gearboxes, and related equipment. Ensure preventative maintenance is conducted on time, documented properly, and procedures are followed to a high standard. Provide training assistance to less experienced staff. Assist with developing acceptable machinery operation procedures. Become the most knowledgeable person on shift on technical machinery issues. Keep a clean work area and assist in 5S and organization projects. Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization. Other reasonable duties as assigned.

Required skills and Experience: Mechanical and electrical knowledge; Blueprint reading (Mechanical and Electrical); High level of computer skills and familiarity with technology; Possess basic knowledge of PLC and Drive programming; Ability to learn new computer programs/machines quickly and with minimal training; Understanding of basic hydraulic and pneumatic systems; Must be able to work with minimal guidance on a day-to-day basis; Strong written and verbal communication skills;

Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for majority of shift on concrete. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. Must be able to operate a forklift and overhead crane (training will be provided). Plant is not conditioned – hot in summer and cold in winter.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 – $35.00 per hour
