What You Can Expect
As a carpenter, you will be installing wire shelving, showers doors, mirrors, and bath/kitchen hardware in the home. Day-to-day tasks include:
- Cutting wire shelving to size
- Following shelving templates to pre-drill holes and fasten closet shelves to the wall
- Installing shower door kits and custom shower doors
- Measure and mount mirror(s) to wall ensuring they are level
- Fasten and attach hardware to cabinets in kitchens and/or bathrooms
- Mount towel racks and toilet paper holders to walls
- Load/unload materials
- Communicate directly with the customer/builder when necessary
To Be Successful
- 1-3 years experience in construction industry, completing remodels or finish work within a home
- Proficient in using hand and power tools
- Familiar with inspector guidelines and safety precautions
- Valid driver’s license to drive a company vehicle
For Your Safety
- Walk throughout the residential job site to access materials and complete job tasks
- Ascend/descend ladders to install shelving, mirrors or hardware
- Transport and lift materials up to 50 lbs
