Accounting Assistant

Carolina Capital Management is in search of a self-motivated Accounting Assistant.

The Accounting Assistant will perform daily accounting tasks that will support our financial team. The responsibilities will include managing expense reports and reimbursements, entering financial transactions into QuickBooks and reconciling invoices. Ultimately, you will help our Accounting department run smoothly, ensuring transparency and efficiency in all transactions.

Our ideal candidate will be proficient in Quickbooks, has intermediate to advanced Excel skills, has an investigative nature, and is a go-getter who can think on their feet.

We strongly value honesty and direct communication and are looking for a confident candidate who is comfortable expressing their thoughts and offering suggestions to improve efficiency. The prefect candidate will be reliable, trustworthy, intuitive and not afraid to ask questions.

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies
  • Create and update expense reports
  • Prepare bank deposits
  • Enter financial transactions into QuickBooks
  • Create and/or review spreadsheets for accuracy
  • Maintain digital and physical financial records
  • Issue payments to customers and external partners, as needed
  • Participate in quarterly and annual audits

The Ideal Candidate is/has:

  • QuickBooks Proficiency
  • 5 years of work experience as a Bookkeeper, Accounting Assistant or Accounting Clerk
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
  • Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
  • Organization skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information

Pay: From $35,360.00 per year
